Choosing a Date for a Bridal Shower

Setting Shower Date

Wedding showers are generally held about one month (two – to – six weeks) before the wedding.  You should be sure that the key guests are available, including the bride herself, the bride’s mother and the groom’s mother.

If you plan to make the shower a surprise, you should still do some discreet fact-checking to make sure that the Bride and key guests are available on the date you choose!

Closely linked to choosing a date is choosing a location.  If you plan to host the shower at a location other than your own home, make sure that the location is also available on the selected date.
