Guess the Baby

With a little preparation, you can create a fun and adorable game that involves both the parents-to-be and the baby shower guests with the โ€œGuess the Babyโ€ game. You can take advantage of a few of our WebBabyShower features to help plan and execute this game: Email guests ahead of time and ask them to email you photos of themselves as a baby. Once you get everyoneโ€™s photos, use our gallery feature to play the game. Add the photos and have guests submit their guesses as to who each baby photo belongs to using the guestbook feature. Guests can also email the host their guesses. The guest with the most correct answers wins! Check out our guide for more info on how to play this game.

Whatโ€™s in the Purse/Diaper Bag?

If your baby shower guest list consists of brave folks who arenโ€™t easily embarrassed, the โ€œWhatโ€™s in Your Purse/Diaper Bag?โ€ game has the potential for so much fun โ€” and itโ€™s easily adaptable for a remote baby shower! Shower guests get a list of things youโ€™d typically find in a diaper bag โ€” a diaper, baby wipes, a bottle, etc. โ€” or things found in a purse like keys, gum, and more. Then guests have to race to find the listed item! Whoever returns first with the item wins the round.

Candy in a Bottle

This next game is fun and helps guests get into the baby shower spirit ahead of the big day. Get a container โ€” we recommend a large, glass jar or a baby bottle โ€” and fill it with candy. Take a photo (or a video) and send it to shower guests. Tell your guests to guess the amount of candy in the container. The person whose guess is closest to the actual amount of candy in the container wins! (Bonus: think of all the candy you get to eat after the baby shower!)

Baby Shower Memory Game

This baby shower activity has the added benefit of exercising the mind! To play the Baby Shower Memory Game, gather 15-20 baby-related items ahead of time and place them in a box or on a large tray. We recommend getting things like diapers, onesies, stuffed animals, diaper pins, baby wipes, pacifiers, bibs โ€” you get the picture. On the day of the shower, gather your guests and place the items in a spot where everyone can see. Give your guests about two minutes to inspect the collection, and then cover it with a blanket. Hand out pencils and paper, and tell your guests to write down as many items as they can rememberย  before time runs out. Whoever remembers the most items wins! Check out this post for a comprehensive list of item suggestions and more notes on how to play.

Cloth Diaper Challenge

For a game thatโ€™s sure to delight the older baby shower guests, try the Cloth Diaper Challenge game. Purchase a pack of cloth diapers (the old-school kind โ€” not todayโ€™s modern cloth diapers with the snaps!) and diaper pins. To play this game, give each participant a diaper, a pair of pins, and a baby doll. Then, see who can create the most secure diaper on their โ€œbaby.โ€ Weโ€™re willing to bet the veteran moms will win this one!
