Guess Her Age

Baby shower guests will love taking a walk down memory lane with the Guess Her Age baby shower game. Before the shower, connect with the mom-to-be and collect photos of her at various stages of life. When it’s time to play the game, distribute pens and paper to your guests and have them look at the photos, trying to guess the age mom was when the photo was taken.

Guess Mommy’s Belly Size

For this baby shower game, we recommend checking with the mom-to-be ahead of time to make sure it’s something she’s comfortable with. If she is, this is a great option for a fun shower game, especially if you are on a budget. All you need for this game is some scissors and string. Guests will each come up and estimate how much string it takes to go around the mom’s baby belly. After each guest snips a piece of string, they’ll then take turns looping it around her middle to see how close they were. The guest who is closest wins!

WebBabyShower I spy game

I Spy

The classic childhood game I Spy can easily be adapted to a fun baby shower game that will help mom capture candid moments she otherwise may have missed while enjoying her special day. Before the baby shower, think of some moments guests are likely to witness: mom rubbing her belly, hugging her mom, or gushing over a cute onesie. Write the prompts down and pass them out to guests. You can either give each guest a disposable camera or encourage them to snap photos on their cell phones whenever they spot the mom-to-be doing one of the action items you listed. (Tip: come up with a clever hashtag that guests can use to share on social media. That way, the mom-to-be can easily browse through the hashtag and see what her guests caught on camera!)

Two Truths and a Lie

For a great way to involve all guests in the fun, try the Two Truths and a Lie game. This popular sleepover game is easily adaptable for a baby shower. Before the game starts, hand out paper and pens to each guest and instruct them to write three things: two truths and one lie. Each guest will stand up and read their three statements, and the rest of the attendees will have to guess which one is the lie. When the speaker reveals their lie, anyone who guessed correctly gets one point. At the end of the game, the person with the most points wins!

WebBabyShower candy bar match game

Candy Bar Match Game

We LOVE this creative baby shower game idea. In Candy Bar Match Game, guests receive a printed sheet with two columns of words. One column contains baby/pregnancy/birth-related terms like “conception,” sleepless nights,” and “epidural.” The other column contains the names of popular candies like “Twix,” “Snickers,” and “SKOR.” The object of the game is to match the term with whichever candy name best fits (“conception” with “SKOR,” for example). This game doesn’t have to have a clear winner, but it’s  fun to see which terms get matched with which candies!

Baby Mad Libs

Who doesn’t love a good game of Mad Libs? Adapt this hilarious party game to your baby shower with Baby Mad Libs. Before the shower, come up with a cute or funny baby-related anecdote and omit plenty of verbs, nouns, and adjectives. For example: When Mary went into labor, she screamed out, “(WORD OF SURPRISE).” Her husband jumped off the (NOUN) and (PAST-TENSE VERB.

Have your guests come up with words ahead of time, and, when everyone’s all together for the baby shower, add those words to the template and read them out loud
