Two Truths and a Lie

For a great way to involve all guests in the fun, try the Two Truths and a Lie game. This popular sleepover game is easily adaptable for a baby shower. Before the game starts, hand out paper and pens to each guest and instruct them to write three things: two truths and one lie. Each guest will stand up and read their three statements, and the rest of the attendees will have to guess which one is the lie. When the speaker reveals their lie, anyone who guessed correctly gets one point. At the end of the game, the person with the most points wins!

Baby Jeopardy!

If youโ€™re already humming the Jeopardy! theme song, this might just be the perfect baby shower game for you. Baby Jeopardy! is based on the classic TV game show of the same name and follows the same general rules. There are sets of categories, each question is worth a set dollar amount, and the players give their answers in the form of a question to rack up money to win. The catch is that all of the categories are all baby-related! Weโ€™ve got everything you need to learn to play this game, PLUS a free download to help you get started!

Name that Baby Tune

How many notes will it take your baby shower guests to name that tune? This fun spin on a classic TV game show will have your guests humming along and tapping their toes. Before the shower, compile a playlist with songs with the word โ€œbabyโ€ in the title. When itโ€™s game time, play a snippet of the song. Guests will use their FREE printable WebBabyShower Name That Baby Tune template to guess the song. Whoever has the most points at the end of the game wins!

We compiled a Spotify playlist that you can use, or you can feel free to let your imagination run wild! (Tip: for a fun spin on this game, donโ€™t limit the playlist to songs with just the word โ€œbabyโ€ in the title but instead go for a baby/pregnancy/birth theme. Some fun alternative song ideas could be โ€œPush Itโ€ by Salt-N-Pepa, โ€œIโ€™m Coming Outโ€ by Diana Ross, or โ€œRing of Fireโ€ by Johnny Cash.)

The Price Is Right

Picture it: Itโ€™s summer break, your parents are at work, and youโ€™ve just made yourself a nice, big bowl of cereal. What are you plopping down in front of the TV to watch? If youโ€™re a part of Gen X or a millennial, weโ€™re willing to bet The Price Is Right is on your screen. Weโ€™ve developed a baby shower version of this beloved TV show, and the best part is that itโ€™s perfect for remote baby showers. (Sorry, Americaโ€™s favorite game show host Bob Barker is not included.) Using items from the parentsโ€™ baby registry, guests will have a limited amount of time to guess the price of selected items. Whoever gets closest to the actual dollar amount of the items without going over wins! Check out our guide on how to play this fun virtual shower game and get a free download.

WebBabyShower candy bar match game

Candy Bar Match Game

We LOVE this creative baby shower game idea. In Candy Bar Match Game, guests receive a printed sheet with two columns of words. One column contains baby/pregnancy/birth-related terms like โ€œconception,โ€ sleepless nights,โ€ and โ€œepidural.โ€ The other column contains the names of popular candies like โ€œTwix,โ€ โ€œSnickers,โ€ and โ€œSKOR.โ€ The object of the game is to match the term with whichever candy name best fits (โ€œconceptionโ€ with โ€œSKOR,โ€ for example). This game doesnโ€™t have to have a clear winner, but itโ€™s  fun to see which terms get matched with which candies!

Mommy or Daddy

Remember high school superlatives? Maybe you won โ€œMost Likely to Succeed,โ€ or โ€œClass Clown.โ€ Well, this baby shower game is similar, and itโ€™s fun and easy to play. The host comes up with a list of superlatives that the guests will then assign to either the new mom or dad. There is no โ€œwinnerโ€ with this game, but if the parents-to-be have a good sense of humor, itโ€™s a great opportunity to get a lot of laughs from baby shower guests. Who will get โ€œMost Likely to Get Peed On,โ€ โ€œMost Likely to Put a Diaper on Backwards,โ€ or โ€œMost Likely to Helicopter Parentโ€? Bonus: this one is easily adaptable for a virtual baby shower!
